and he’s like, totally all about GSM rights, y’all!
White privilege is being the #1 consumers of welfare, food stamps, general government aid, and illegal drugs, but STILL blaming POC for all of those things as well as incarcerating them at an exponentially higher rate.
"This case has attracted worldwide attention, but it is, in essence, no different from other capital cases. Across the country, the legal process for the death penalty has shown itself to be discriminatory, unjust and incapable of being fixed. Just last week, the Supreme Court granted a stay of execution for Duane Buck, an African-American, hours before he was to die in Texas because a psychologist testified during his sentencing that Mr. Buck’s race increased the chances of future dangerousness. Case after case adds to the many reasons why the death penalty must be abolished."
I want to clarify that bit about the Buck case in this quote: his stay was granted because the psychologist’s testimony was so obviously racist. The psychologist argued that it was best to put him to death because black men are more likely to be repeat violent offenders. So they should kill him to prevent him from killing someone else, in a situation that they might not have executed a person of another race. So the stay was granted because that tainted the state’s case in favor of execution. Wanted to make sure that was clear, because I read about it when it happened. Psychology, y’all…what’s that argument about how science is objective?
